There are roads in life that do not appear on any map.
And yet, we continue forward.
A man. A dog. A journey across Türkiye.
And a path that seems to be leading them somewhere.
Along the way come unexpected encounters, unexplained moments, and questions that do not always have easy answers.
This story asks one simple question:
“Why are you walking your path?”

The Story Begins in Ankara
Barış lives a quiet life in Ankara.
Then one day, he leaves.
Without fully knowing why.
His journey eventually takes him to Cappadocia, where he meets a dog named Noah.
A being without words—
yet somehow, deeply understood.
At first, their meeting seems like coincidence.
But as Barış and Noah continue across Türkiye, small encounters and unexplained moments begin to suggest that their meeting—and the road ahead—may not be entirely accidental.
This is a journey about meaning, trust, love, and the invisible roads we choose to walk.
A Story Born in Türkiye
This is fiction.
But the places are real.
I live in Türkiye, where I write this story and photograph the places I travel through.
The streets of Ankara. The valleys of Cappadocia. Small towns along the Black Sea coast. The Mediterranean shore. The landscapes passing by through the windows of long-distance buses.
Many of the landscapes, streets, moments of silence, and small details in Barış & Noah come from places I have actually experienced.
The story is fictional, but much of its atmosphere, light, and stillness comes from the real Türkiye I have encountered while living here.
Why I Write This Story
Photography has always been one of my passions.
But there are things that a photograph alone can never fully express—the scent of the wind, the weight of silence, a fleeting glance, or emotions that cannot easily be put into words.
That is why I chose to tell stories.
Barış & Noah is not a story about heroes. It is the story of an ordinary man and a dog on a journey.
Within that journey are landscapes I have seen, people I have encountered, loneliness and hope, and the quiet sense of guidance that sometimes appears in life without explanation.
I am less interested in giving answers than in asking questions.
I only hope this story encourages you to pause for a moment and reflect on your own journey.
